Il cielo?
Questa foto l’ho chiamata “Cielo?” perché la visualizzazione del cielo attraverso un oblò richiama immediatamente il tema della rappresentazione. E’ ancora cielo vero il soggetto della foto o è già immagine? Forse ancora una volta abbiamo una rappresentazione di rappresentazione. La struttura che si vede è l’Atomium di Bruxelles. Credo che su questa creazione architettonica del 1958 tornerò presto. L’idea è anche suggerire un panorama ai limiti del fantascientifico…
Atomium. A prelude
Geniale Karl Bartos. Omaggio a Bruxelles e in particolare alla Exposition Universelle et Internationale de Bruxelles del 1958. Sì quella del padiglione Philips di Le Corbusier/Xenakis. L’Atomium, una struttura di acciaio alta 102 metri che rappresenta un cristallo di ferro ingrandito 165 × 109 volte, è stato progettato dall’architetto André Waterkeyn.
